Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I hope you find this blog not only entertaining but also informative. If you are looking to try a new food, different restaurant experience or need new cooking/baking ideas, you’ve come to the right place!
A little background on me…
I was born and raised on Long Island (Nassau County to be exact) and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Growing up, I’ve always had an interest in food. I watched my Grandpa (Pop) cook often and eat his amazing food. He always encouraged me to try new things (and still does)! When I entered my freshman year at Fairfield University, I had a hard time adjusting to the dining hall life. I missed Sunday night dinners at my grandparents house and overall, I missed home cooked meals. The dining hall food wasn’t for me, and I learned that very quickly. Throughout the year, I tried making my own food at one of the stations. I would make my own pasta, fried rice, eggs…anything to try and make the food taste better. By the time I was a Junior in the Townhouses, I finally had my own kitchen. I was able to make different things for myself for all meals. I even started baking more. This all continued into my Senior year living at the beach (HighRise Forever) when I would start baking more often with one of my fellow food obsessed friends (Hi Maggie…lol) and force my other friends to eat whatever we made.
I got into Instagramming my food when I was a Sophomore in College. Food pics were becoming very popular and I enjoyed it. However, I think corny captions are ridiculous and shouldn’t be a thing (ex. I don’t wanna TACO-bout it…). I still enjoy scrolling through my feed seeing all these different foods I want to try. I’ve gotten to try some pretty cool and tasty stuff over the past few years. I’m hoping this blog will help me get past the post grad blues (my advice: stay in College forever) and will guide you to try something different! I’m always looking for suggestions and ideas, so please reach out!! Thanks again for reading!!
